Eligiblity For Admission in to B.E Degree Courses:

Eligiblity for admission into B.E. courses of study as as prescribed by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.

i)   A pass in HSC (Academic with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
OR ii)   A pass in HSC (Vocational Stream) with Engineering/Technology vocational subjects and any one of the latest subjects like Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.

iii)   Diploma in one of the courses like Civil, Mechnical, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

iv)   Any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education/Higher Secondary board of Tamil Nadu.

   Candidate belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than 2 appearances. Candidates belonging to SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than 3 appearances.

Minimum Marks
For SC/ST candidates, a mere pass in the qualifying examination will suffice.
Candidates belonging to communicates other than SC/ST should have obtained the following minimum marks.






a.   H.S.C.(Academic) and other equivalent Candidates:

(i)   For other communities(F.C.)
      (a)   a minimum of 60% in Maths
      (b)   a minimum of 60% in Physics and Chemistry put together
      (c)   the total percentage of marks in (a) and percentage of marks in (b) should not             be less than 140 out of 200

(i)   For B.C. communities
      (a)   a minimum of 60% in Maths
      (b)   a minimum of 60% in Physics and Chemistry put together
      (c)   the total percentage of marks in (a) and percentage of marks in (b) should not             be less than 130 out of 200

(i)   For M.B.C. & D.N.C. communities
      (a)   a minimum of 60% in Maths
      (b)   a minimum of 60% in Physics and Chemistry put together
      (c)   the total percentage of marks in (a) and percentage of marks in (b) should not             be less than 120 out of 200





b.   H.S.C.(Vocational) Candidates:

(i)   For other communities(F.C.)
      (a)   a minimum of 60% in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry.
      (b)   a minimum of 60% in the vocational subjects under PartIII together.
      (c)   the total percentage of marks in (a) and percentage of marks in (b) should not             be less than 140 out of 200

(i)   For B.C. communities
      (a)   a minimum of 60% in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry.
      (b)   a minimum of 60% in the vocational subjects under PartIII together.
      (c)   the total percentage of marks in (a) and percentage of marks in (b) should not             be less than 130 out of 200

(i)   For M.B.C. & D.N.C. communities
      (a)   a minimum of 55% in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry.
      (b)   a minimum of 55% in the vocational subjects under PartIII together.
      (c)   the total percentage of marks in (a) and percentage of marks in (b) should not             be less than 120 out of 200





c.   For Diploma holders:

1. Minimum aggregate marks in the pre-final semester	60%    60%    55%
2. Minimum aggregate marks in the final semester	60%    60%    55%
3. Total of (1)+(2) aggregate marks in pre-final and final     semester	140/200  130/200  120/200 or        or        or 70%    65%    60%

d.   Eligibility for Admission in to B.Sc. Applied Science - Computer Technology and B.Sc. Applied Science - Computer Systems Maintanance & Networking.

      OC:               Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics aggregate:      60%
      BC:               Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics aggregate:      55%
      MBC/DNC:    Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics aggregate:      50%
      SC:               Pass in HSC (Academic)





e.   Eligiblity for Admission in to M.C.A.

Candidates should possess first class in any one of the following degrees of Bharathiar University. Coimbatore or a qualification recognised as equivalent there to.

1.  B.Sc., Mathematics.
2.  B.Sc., Statistics.
3.  B.Sc., Computer Science / Applied Science.
4.  B.Sc., Physics with Ancillary Mathematics.
5.  B.Sc., Chemistry with Ancillary Mathematics.
6.  B.Sc., Electrical with a study of Mathematics and / or Statistics for Two semesters.
7.  B.Sc., B.B.M., with a study of Mathematics and / or Statistics for Two semesters.





f.   Eligibility for M.B.A.

Bachelors' Degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects including languages.





g.   Eligiblity for admission in to M.Sc., Software Engineering (5 year Integrated Course)

A pass in H.S.C. (Academic stream) / equivalent examination with a) Mathematics or Business Mathematics and b) any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, Accountancy, Statistics, Computer Science and Electronics and with the following minimum average marks in the three subjects mentioned above.

O.C. : 60%, B.C. : 55%, M.B.A. : 50%, S.C./S.T. : a pass.





h.   Eligiblity for Admission in to M.Sc., Computer Technology :

Candidates should possess first class in any one of the following Degrees of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore (or) a qualification recognised as equivalent there to :

1.  B.Sc., Computer Science.
2.  B.Sc., Computer Technology.
3.  B.Sc., Computer Applications.
