The College was granted affiliation by the Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore after getting approval from AICTE, New Delhi to commence MBA Degree programme from the academic year 1998-99. The programme was duly started to impart quality management skills to the students admitted. The main objective of the MBA Department is to help the students to keep pace with the changing Economic and Industrial Scenario. The industry today demands a lot from individuals in technical as well as management skills. Keeping these requisites in mind, the MBA students of Maharaja Engineering College are well trained not only by class room lectures but also by live discussions of case and frequent industrial visits to good corporates to gain practical knowledge.
