The Department of Computer Science since its inception in 1998 has been successful in pioneering educational innovation of our students. The Department is endowed with a team of well-qualified and motivated self supported by renovated infrastructure with 5 LAN centers(each 30 nodes), UNIX center (30 dump nodes),CAD centers( 30 nodes),INTERNET centers(60 nodes) with an overall facility to reach anywhere to anywhere, seminar hall and fully computerized library, which provides exposure to latest Information Technology Environments.
A strong theoretical foundation is laid through courses in Internet Programming and E-Commerce, Interactive Computer Graphics, Computer Communication and Networking, Data Warehousing and Data Mining, Visual Programming and Software Project Management. In addition to the staff's lecture the department invites visiting faculties from leading industries and institutions to teach latest trends in Computer Science.
Students of this Department took part in inter-collegiate Technical Symposiums and Quiz Competitions and secured prizes. They also attend one day seminar on "Emerging Management Concepts and Trends of New Millennium" and "E-Commerce". Apart from the curriculum, Intra Department Quiz Competition, Seminars, Paper Presentation, Group Discussions and Dump Charades are often conducted for molding students excel in the ever-growing competitive world of IT industry.As a part of Industry-Institution Interaction Programme, the department frequently arranges industrial visits to companies like Infosys, Sathyam, Wipro etc ., for implanting up-to-date technical knowledge in software industry.
