The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 1994. In these six years of service, the department has come a long way in acquiring the best standards to produce efficient and talented communication engineers. The department comprises of well equipped laboratories in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Microwave Electronics, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Integrated circuits, etc. There are well trained and qualified staff who constantly perceive to improve the performance of the students. The various electives offered are Television Engineering, Radar Systems, Computer Communication and Neural networks.

The Department Association incepted in 1997 offers wide range of opportunities to student to acquire and prove themselves in the field of electronics and communication .The association activities include organizing seminars by eminent personalities , intra college paper presentation and various events like Technical quiz ,Microprocessor programming , circuit identification and Technical cross word .The students have exhibited their talents in various inter college events and have excelled in Paper Presentation and cultural events held at Bharathiar University .With team spirit and success as the motive, the department as a whole works ceaselessly to reach new horizons in the future.
